DIRECTIONS:

Getting to Floyd Bennett Field by Car: The closest highway is the Belt Parkway. If you’re coming from the Brooklyn Queens Expressway, go east on the Belt Parkway. If you’re coming from the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, go east on the Belt Parkway. Belt Parkway to exit 11 South (Flatbush Avenue South). Travel one mile on Flatbush Avenue to last traffic signal before toll bridge (follow signs for Aviator Sports Complex). Make left turn into field. Make first left turn, and travel 1/2 mile to first right turn. Turn right and go half way up runway. Make the first left turn and stay on your left side. Park against the grass on the left side.

Getting to Floyd Bennett Field by Bike: For Manhattanites, cross the Brooklyn Bridge. Go left on Tillary. Two blocks and take the right on Flatbush Avenue. Take Flatbush Avenue all the way there. You’ll climb through Park Slope, go around Grand Army Plaza so the Museum is on your left and the park on your right. And keep on going. Brooklynites have to get themselves to Flatbush and go.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Flat 2.3 mile course. Don’t let the course description fool you – the course has no protection from the wind and gusty winds have shredded fields in past races. Also, the road surface can be rough in spots. We do not recommend using lightweight wheels and tires as there are no free laps and under no condition are riders allowed back into a race if they have been dropped or experienced a mechanical difficulty. No exceptions!
