Bike Snob NYC is Eben Oliver Weiss
Though a good many seem to already know, Bike Snob NYC is Eben Oliver Weiss. It was announced officially in a New York Times blog post today.
The Times said Weiss “plans to reveal himself in a series of public appearances in May to be Eben Oliver Weiss, a former literary agent from Brooklyn. … The appearances are part of a promotional tour for his coming book, ‘Bike Snob,’ based on the blog.”
I thought it might be him last year, after hearing some rumors and seeing a few mentions online.
One wonders what will come of the Bike Snob now that he is publicly known. There is also a piece in the Wall Street Journal today.
I first spied Weiss at Hudson Valley Cross in 2009. I just had to take a snap or two.
