Colorado native and well-known Brooklyn, New York–based bike racing sensation Neil Bezdek has earned a pro contract and will ride with team Mountain Khakis fueled by Jittery Joe’s, Cyclingnews.com reported today.

In only a season and a half of road racing in New York City and on the East Coast, Bezdek rocketed from Cat. 5 road racer to Cat. 1, winning a number of races and performing impressively in the pro ranks. The 25-year-old former bike messenger originally rode with WS United, then moved to Kissena, then to GS Mengoni. He will ride in 2010 for the newly renamed Mountain Khakis fueled by Jittery Joe’s.
