Being new to cross, I didn’t even know who Ryan Trebon was a couple of months ago. Yeah, it’s pathetic, I know.
But now I do.
Here are some photos I took at today’s Granogue Cross 2009 on the CyclingReporter.com Flickr page.
Before the Trebon Show kicked off, contributing editor to CyclingReporter.com Ian Landau scored an excellent 16th place in the B race, while I got 36th [corrected] in the C race in my first Granogue.

Very cool. Ryan indeed is easy to talk to, down to earth. So talented too.
I did a Tucson shootout in January or February of 2005 with Ryan – cool guy. He got me eating fruit in one day while my wife had been trying for years to get me to do that! Also on that ride was Stephen Wesseman before his big win (Roubaix?). I was giving him a hard time about his pedal failing and he took it out of my hide on the mountain climb. Fun to ride with those guys…
